I’ve always been drawn to hearing people’s stories and seeing if there is a path forward that includes more joy.
I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2001 after completing my bachelors degree in Psychology. What I’ve found working in this field is that many of experiences that hold people back in the presence occurred in the past.
Through many years of doing EMDR, Brainspotting and biofeedback work I’ve seen hundreds of clients heal those past experiences to create a lighter and more joyful present for themselves. What I have also noticed is that when people are in this kind of pain, they don’t want to wait months to experience the relief from it. With these modalities we no longer need to limit ourselves to a weekly model that often leaves people still in pain week to week but instead can create healing in intensives so that relief is felt often the first day.
I strive to be warm and genuine in sessions with clients with a good dose of humor and self-compassion. When I’m not in session, I enjoy outdoor adventures with my three children, knitting, powerlifting, traveling, walking by the river, and farming in the Snoqualmie Valley.
